A firm vote of confidence for the Québec company’s business model
MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC (February 20, 2022) – EVAH Corp. is pleased to announce that world-leading pork and poultry producer Vall Companys Group and its subsidiary Infervareal S.A. have invested in the Québec company. Their investment will help power EVAH’s technological developments and expand their foothold as an animal health business/innovation hub.

EVAH secured the funding from the Spanish family-owned Vall Companys Group with the help of trifermed, a management services company. With their investment, Vall Companys Group joins a long list of other Canadian, European and American backers. In the past few months, EVAH has leveraged its innovative business model and commitment to developing new technologies to raise $20 million in funding.
Four technologies to fight disease in livestock
EVAH currently has four different technologies underway, including three for pigs and poultry. These three—a swine feed additive, a swine vaccine, and an avian vaccine—will help researchers develop alternatives to antibiotics and combat the drug resistance that is plaguing the global food chain. Drug resistance poses a threat to a large number of animal populations and has a direct impact on producers like Vall Companys Group.
